If you’re currently in high school, and you’re considering coming to WorkCamp next June, NOW is the time to apply and register! Email Charlie and Paul for more information as soon as possible…
St. Joseph’s Workers, Holy Trinity’s high school service youth ministry, is a family move this weekend.
Come to the planning meeting after Ignite on May 15, 8:15- 8:45 pm in Our Lady’s Hall, to find out the details. If you miss the meeting, email Johnny, Luke, and Paul for details: youthministry@holytrinityparish.net
Currently, rising 9th graders (current 8th graders) are welcomed to join for all high school youth ministries, from now through the summer and after!
High school youth ministry. Always open to all in grades 9-12, regardless of the week or time of the year. On most fifth Mondays of the month, in evenings throughout the year. Come for fellowship, conversation, and to learn a new skill, too… and maybe donate some homemade items to those in need!
Guys and girls welcomed; both guys and girls are among those piloting and leading the ministry! No previous knowledge needed, all skill-levels welcomed. Come mostly for another opportunity to continue building community and friendship at your parish, another opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and one anotherโฆ so come gather with friends, make new friends, talk about the faith, learn a new skill, and maybe even make something that can be donated!

December 2 update:Calling all current high schoolers: Now is the time to apply for WorkCamp! Please connect with Charlie and Paul as soon as possible if you’d like to learn more or apply to join us next summer!
Please don’t hesitate to reach-out, even if you did not make it to one of the information meetings early last month. But you’ll need to apply now or very soon, before the spaces are all filled-up!
November 4 update: Three meetings remain, including one this evening!
Original post: It’s only the fall… so winter and spring may be difficult to imagine, much less next summer! However, the diocese asks us to start signing people up officially in early December, and that’s also when fundraising begins, so that’s why we’re having these meetings now! So this is when the planning for next summer’s WorkCamp week begins…
So… are you currently in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12, and want to just learn more — maybe you’re vaguely interested, not ready to make a commitment, maybe you’ve just heard something about WorkCamp from a friend, etc. — if this is you, please join us next week at one of FOUR OPTIONS to learn more:
– Tuesday, November 2, 6:00-6:45 pm – Thursday, November 4, 6:00-6:45 pm – Sunday, November 7, 4:00-4:45 pm – Sunday, November 7, 8:15-9:00 pm
All four meetings will have the same content, so you just need to come to one meeting to get the info we’re sharing; all meetings will be in the Youth Room, but we’ll gather outside the basement doors (near the pond) about 5 minutes before the meetings begin, then go inside.
This Thanksgiving weekend, two groups of our St. Joseph’s Workers teens and adult youth minister volunteers prepared meal bags (on Friday) and delivered the food to and prayed with the homeless in Washington, DC (Saturday), offering both corporal and spiritual works of mercy to those in need on this special holiday weekend. This idea was created by one of our volunteer youth ministers, Isaac, whose birthday was also this weekend… he wanted to change it up and give to others to celebrate his birthday in a special way.
This generous idea made a perfect match on a weekend when we remember how much we’ve been blessed, and how we can share with those in need. Thank you, all volunteers, teens and adults! And a big thank you in particular to Isaac for the idea and leading the charge for both shifts!
