Holy Trinity Parish will be participating in a second collection for Porto Charities on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8. Porto Charities is a non-profit organization formed by Arlington Diocese families who wanted to help their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive a Catholic education in our parish schools. In his recently released 5 – Year Strategic Plan, Bishop Burbidge prioritized making a Catholic education available to ALL. Equally important is the work Porto Charities does to identify employment opportunities for our young people with disabilities, especially, within our own Diocese, parishes, and schools.
We believe Porto Charities is an organization that our parishioners would want to regularly support. Like all parishes, ours is home to families with children who have been diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. All donations to Porto Charities stay in the Diocese of Arlington. You can learn more about Porto Charities and their work by going to their website: www.portocharities.org.
Thank you so much for prayerfully considering a donation to support this worthy endeavor. If you pay via check please put Porto Charities in the memo line.
