St. Lucy Project – Feeding the Hungry, Nourishing the Soul

Holy Trinity can make a difference helping our American Heritage Girls Group and the Knights of Columbus who will be collecting food this coming weekend, April 29-30 after all the Masses. Our goal is to collect 10,000 pounds of food!

Almost a quarter of a million people in the Arlington Diocese are “food insecure,” meaning they do not know where their next meal is coming from. As a Catholic response to the hunger and food insecurity in our Diocese, Catholic Charities conducts a diocesan-wide outreach to collect and distribute food where it is most needed through the St. Lucy Project. Click HERE for more information on the St. Lucy Project.

Catholic Charities believes passionately in a future without hunger.  To respond to our neighbors in need, they operate the St. Lucy Project to connect food resources with local pantries that distribute food directly to their neighbors. Click here to see the map showing their partnerships with parishes and local food pantries

Our American Heritage Girls will be distributing bags on the weekend of April 22-23 to be filled with your food donations to be collected the following weekend.

Thank you for your generosity!
