2021 Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) Encourage One Another by Word and Deed
This weekend every household in our parish will be asked to consider making a Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) pledge or gift. The BLA provides an opportunity to unite as a Catholic family and support programs, ministries and services that no single individual or parish could offer by itself. After reflecting upon the many blessings that God has given you, please prayerfully consider making a BLA pledge. Every donation is vital to the success of the BLA. You may complete a pledge card at Mass, mail in your pledge, scan the QR code or go online to www.arlingtondiocese.org

Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools. PLEASE READ IT!

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) has released a draft proposal of a new policy to be forced upon all public schools, promoting radical transgender ideology, and undermining the role of parents in the raising of their children.

The draft is entitled, ‘Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools.’ Please read it!

LifeSite.com has provided an easy opportunity to contact our state legislators to voice our disapproval of such a policy. We can also use LifeSite.com to access Virginia’s official Town Hall ‘Public Comment Forum’ to enter a comment. Please take advantage of these tools to voice disapproval of such a radical policy in our public schools before February 3rd when public consultation ends.

Who are the ones who are taught to love their neighbor because that person is made in the image and likeness of Almighty God? It is Christians, particularly Catholics – not someone who has some vague religious belief that ultimately centers on himself.
