In the United States, the tragically pervasive acceptance of abortion has resulted in more than 62 million abortions since Roe v. Wade. Still, today the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impose abortion on demand nationwide—and thus double down on daily murder of the defenseless—by passing the false and deceptively named “Women’s Health Protection Act.”

1917 saw one of the bloodiest revolutions in history: the Communist Revolution in Russia. That said, communism has never limited itself to Russia. When Pope Pius XI condemned communism in the 1930s, he wrote the encyclical in Latin – for the whole world (as opposed to the two encyclicals condemning Fascism in Italy and Nazism in Germany were written in Italian and German respectively).

Archbishop Sheen on the Future
In every parish there are those who give of their time and talents for Our Lord and His people in a hidden way. Our Samaritans help those in temporal need – i.e. utilities, rent, medicine, etc. In the twenty years of our parish’s existence, this group has helped many, many people in our area. For over ten years, Mike and Margaret Eggleston have coordinated the Samaritans. They will be stepping down from their responsibilities. We thank them for their dedication to Our Lord and His people in need!
